The SHAPE America National Convention & Expo is the country’s leading professional development event for health and physical educators — from preK–12 teachers to university professors/researchers and the “future professionals” they teach.
In 2025, the national convention will be held in Baltimore, MD, April 1- 5. We are now accepting high-quality proposals that will be delivered through an equity, diversity, and inclusion lens and that address a full range of issues facing health and physical educators, administrators, and other key stakeholders as they seek to put all children on the path to health and physical literacy.
Your submission will help mold a national program that prepares and inspires the health and physical education profession to meet the demands of an ever-changing world.
Submission Instructions
To submit your session, please complete the following steps and reference the additional
guidance documents available on this page.
Read the
presenter agreement
and ensure all presenters read and agree prior to listing them on the session proposal.
Review the submission categories to ensure you’ve identified the appropriate category and sub-category (if applicable) for your presentation.
Review the appropriate submission guide to ensure you understand the information that will be necessary for your proposal. Please note that these proposal types are designed to be educator- or research-led sessions.
If you are a corporate or nonprofit organization that wishes to lead an activity-based or presentation-based session during the 2025 SHAPE America National Convention & Expo it must be submitted as Promoted Content Session. To submit a Promoted Content Session proposal: use this form.
Begin your submission by clicking the link below. Be sure you click “start submission” under the appropriate session type. Please note that you do not need to complete your submission in one sitting. After starting your submission, you will receive a confirmation email that includes a session/abstract ID and password that can be used to edit or complete a submission at a later time. You may edit your submission until the deadline.
