RESTON, VA, July 29, 2021 — SHAPE America ‒ Society of Health and Physical Educators is pleased to announce the selection of Stephanie Jumps as senior manager of community initiatives and social impact.

Jumps will be leading efforts to continue scaling SHAPE America’s health. moves. minds. service-learning program. In this role she will be responsible for overall program management, providing support to participating teachers, serving as the liaison to the program’s state partners, and working with SHAPE America’s national program partner, Gopher.

Most recently, Jumps supported the Corporate and Youth Market Development Division of the American Heart Association (AHA). In her role with the AHA she cultivated, stewarded and supervised both school and corporate events - Kids Heart Challenge (previously known as Jump Rope For Heart and Hoops for Heart), American Heart Challenge and Heart Walk.

“Stephanie brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of school-based fundraising programs, and we are excited to add her talents and skills to our team,” says Beth Bennett, SHAPE America’s vice president of strategic partnerships, social impact, and education. “We look forward to expanding the reach of this important service-learning program which teaches students how to take care of their mind and body.”
